The process began with a joint workshop of the marketing department that included a study of consumer needs, an analysis of competitors and trends, and a description of the future world of swimming pools.
The result is that our robots are able to climb walls to clean the upper waterline, skip over hazards, be heavy on the pool bottom, and light otherwise while combining an excellent filter cleaning experience with a great appearance.


Design
The design process focused on defining the ultimate user experience and developing various design languages for different markets, inspired by the latest trends in the fields of robots, motors and gardening tools.
The product's concept is also based on a uniform chassis and variable design, giving maximum marketing flexibility and unprecedented production efficiency.


The Collaboration
After more than a decade of fruitful collaboration with Maytronics, we partnered with them to create the new, upgraded robots in the prestigious Q series – smart, automated pool cleaners with an advanced optical system to scan the pool.
The new robots represent a breakthrough in the field and set new and particularly high industry standards. The three robots designed by Tamooz have won prizes, including the Innovative Product Prize at the Piscine 2018 exhibition in France, the world’s most important trade fair in the swimming pool and pool products sector.


Marketing
Some of the innovative robots in the Q series have already been launched and are being successfully marketed, while others should reach consumers in the near future.
