CLIENT: TINY LOVE
Tiny Love 3-in-1 Rocker Napper
has been a resounding success
DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURING
We developed the Tiny Love children’s trampoline and success-fully launched it worldwide in 2011.
In the brief we received, we were asked to develop a trampoline for children that would be innovative and make Tiny Love the market leader in its field. Working with our marketing and development team, we focused on two unique aspects: what do parents need from a trampoline? And what value can we add to make our product stand out from the competition?
After studying the challenges, we received a clear parental response:
“I just need 15 minutes of peace” (and not fame…).
We dared to deviate from the brief and we offered Tiny Love’s management a unique product– not just a developmental toy, but one that can be converted into a pleasant and safe crib.
The concept we came up with was a trampoline with three purposes: A developmental toy for playtime, a musical trampoline for calmer periods, and the addition that makes the difference: a safe crib to sleep in. Our primary concern in this respect was to make sure the sleeping positions could be changed easily, conveniently, and with no fear of waking the child.
The Worldwide Market
The first container of products that arrived in Israel was sold in one weekend, then sales spread to the United States and from there to all five continents.
A few years after launching the trampoline, Tiny Love was sold to the Canadian company Doral for about 50 million dollars.
The company markets products in 50 countries worldwide, although the trampoline (in all its versions) continues to dominate sales.
