Designing Intelligent Agritech Products That Work in the Field

Tamooz partners with leading AgriTech companies to design systems and products that perform reliably under real field conditions and scale internationally

Agricultural technology operates in one of the most demanding environments for product development. Unlike controlled indoor systems, AgriTech products must withstand heat, moisture, dust, vibration, changing weather, and years of continuous operation in the field. Designing for these conditions means looking beyond the technology itself—balancing reliability, usability, manufacturability, and seamless integration into farmers' daily workflows. Throughout our work, we've had the opportunity to contribute to products ranging from sensor-based monitoring systems to connected agricultural hardware, each presenting its own unique design and engineering challenges.

Successful AgriTech products are shaped by more than technical performance. They must communicate clearly, simplify complex interactions, and fit naturally into the daily routines of growers, technicians, and field operators. Our design approach focuses on creating products that are intuitive to use, practical to maintain, and ready to support adoption at every stage—from early deployment to large-scale production.

For Afimilk’s Synergy system, the design challenge was to integrate advanced robotic automation into an existing parallel milking parlor without disrupting its established workflow.

Synergy continuously monitors its movements, timing, stimulation duration, attachment success and overall task completion giving producers real-time visibility into routine consistency, stall efficiency, deviations, and opportunities for improved throughput.

The system combines compact mechanical arms, specialized tools, sensors, and operator guidance to automate preparation, cup attachment, milking, and post-milking treatment. Tamooz’s work focused on shaping this complex technology into a coherent, field-ready product—addressing the interaction between machinery, animals, operators, hygiene requirements, and the demanding conditions of daily dairy operation.

Developing successful AgriTech products requires more than technical innovation. Every project brings a unique combination of environmental, operational, and manufacturing challenges, demanding close collaboration between design, engineering, and product teams.

A thoughtful development process helps transform advanced technologies into reliable, intuitive products that deliver lasting value in the field.
